S.I.P.I S.p.a, Italy-foreign sales manager

Our company was created in the early 1990s from an idea of Oiki’s Enrico Bettuzzi. I didn't experience the early years, as I joined the company in 1998, but I have many family memories. It was an innovative project and from the very beginning we developed a great synergy. Innovation in the 90s meant riding a continuously growing trend. The market was unstable and subject to sudden changes, but with a certain kind of vision you could start from scratch and find your own path. Oiki gave us the know-how and modernity to create that kind of winning vision. So the trips abroad to present the product began and soon we were able to recognise the potential demand. Today many things have changed, everything has become very complex; there is a competitiveness that forces you to go beyond your limits. I see many young companies with great potential that are unable to realise their ideas. Despite the passing of the years and the changes in the market, I am convinced that even today we would be able to ‘do business’ from scratch. Our strength, now as in the early days, lies in being able to enhance product and service. Together, we have found a flexible product with good workability, combined with a service that guarantees a response to the customers’ various needs in a short time. We could say that this is our biggest common advantage: a start-up’s speed but with the methods of a big company.
