Sales and Customer Service Manager

My role at Oiki has a dual function. I am a salesperson acting as a bridge to customer services, with the aim of managing the customer needs of the entire sales department very carefully. Our customer base has many different characteristics, ranging from small companies to more structured traders or even multinationals. My job is continuous problem-solving, in fact my role often takes the form of sales department coordinator. Often there is a need for immediate intervention to resolve certain critical issues within commercial and production logic. I couldn't do what I do at Oiki without my 30 years of experience here. I started in accounting and then moved to what is a role closer to my natural temperament - close contact with customers. I like dealing with international operators, but it is also nice to deal with Italian clients, because we are naturally related. At times I have been under pressure because of the constant challenges and changes, but for me the changes have always been stimulating. Within manageable stress I can give maximum concentration. That is how I am, I get into things one hundred per cent, giving my all. Over the last thirty years, I have witnessed changes in the rationale of the market and in competition. I have seen Oiki balanced between stainless steel producers and those who use stainless steel. I have seen that equilibrium subverted, with those who were once our suppliers now also our competitors. Oiki has managed to adapt and respond to the needs of the market, thanks in part to an internal reorganisation that has taken place over the last ten years.
